Hi, I’m Layla — the face behind The Beauty Shed.

With over 25 years in the beauty industry and a passport full of stamps — from London to New York, New Orleans, Australia and New Zealand — I bring experience, precision, and a genuine love for what I do to every treatment.

I specialise in expert hair removal, including intimate waxing, alongside advanced facials, makeup, and all the beauty details — from brows to lashes and everything in between.

But for me, it’s never just about the treatment.

I love meeting people, having a chat, and creating a space where you feel completely comfortable and at ease. Whether you’re here for a regular wax or a results-driven facial, everything is tailored to you with care, attention, and a down-to-earth approach — with a considered, low-impact mindset running through everything I do.

Originally from London, I now call Totnes home. The Beauty Shed, based at the Cider Press in Dartington, is my calm, considered space — designed to feel like a little escape, where thoughtful, eco-conscious beauty meets real results.

I’m also a proud mum to my son, Louie — my biggest inspiration.

Alongside The Beauty Shed, I also run Wax’d — my specialist waxing studio in Exeter, focused on efficient, expert hair removal and a slightly more fast-paced, modern feel.
